Comparison

ChiroHD for Your Practice, ChiroReports for Your Reports

ChiroHD is a modern cloud EHR that many reviewers find genuinely easy to use, with support many users describe as fast and helpful. ChiroReports is report-writing software for chiropractors. It is not an EHR and does not replace one.

The short answer: ChiroHD's reviews are mostly positive, and this page reads that way. If it runs your practice well, keep it. The friction point its users name is documentation macros, and the finished report is the layer ChiroReports adds alongside it.

What ChiroHD does well

  • Many reviewers find it genuinely easy to use, which is not a given in chiropractic software.
  • Support is described by many users as fast and helpful.
  • Its care plan tracker and two-way texting are features its users specifically like.

Where ChiroHD users struggle with documentation and reports

This material is preliminary, drawn from a light review pass rather than a full read, so the claims here are kept narrow.

SOAP macros are restrictive to customize. One owner's detailed review described macros that cannot be formatted, no bold or underline, spacing that can go wrong in custom macros, and adding diagnosis codes through macros as, in his word, awful (an owner reviewing on Capterra).

The same reviewer described the documentation workflow as click heavy, which is the opposite of what a macro system is supposed to deliver.

Notes do not always autosave. A chiropractic assistant reported that the main complaints field does not autosave, which has caused some issues (a chiropractic assistant reviewing on Capterra).

Support hours are limited, a con one office manager noted even in an otherwise 5-star review.

One detailed switcher review, 3 stars from a chiropractor titled "Good potential, poor execution", reported functions not working as described and email-only support taking days. That is one switcher's experience, and it sits against the many positive support reviews credited above.

How ChiroReports fits

ChiroReports is the report layer. It generates x-ray reports, narrative reports, x-ray and MRI translation handouts in 14 languages, treatment plans, and exercise plans, each one built in minutes from the provider's own findings.

It runs in the browser on any computer, with no integration with your EHR required. Support is answered by the chiropractor who built it. And every price is published on the pricing page, so you know what it costs before you ever talk to anyone.

Who should stay, who should add

If ChiroHD's macros match the way you document and its feature set covers your practice, it is a well-liked system and there is no reason to move. Its positive reviews are the majority.

If you want the finished report to be more than a macro can format, a polished narrative, an x-ray report, an imaging handout in your patient's language, that is ChiroReports' reader. ChiroHD stays the EHR; ChiroReports writes the reports.
